What do Dues cost?

Parents/caregivers are sent an invoice from the CSBL at the beginning of March each year. An Attendance Dues brochure is included which describes why dues are necessary and how they are used.

The following charges including GST apply during 2010.

  • Primary Students $344.00
  • Secondary Students $672.00

These charges are per year, per student.

There are a number ways for parents/caregivers to make payments.

It is in the interest of all parishes and secondary schools that parents/caregivers pay Attendance Dues promptly. The Proprietors of our schools rely on payments to ensur that school loans are debt serviced and school buildings insurance and other costs permitted by legislation are paid.

Attendance Dues are paid directly to CSBL as agent for the Proprietors of the schools in CSBL's district and not to schools themselves. This is because under the PSCI Act, Attendance Dues are the income of Proprietors and not Boards of Trustees.

Attendance Dues must be accounted for separately and CSBL is required to provide an explanation to parents and the general Catholic community as to how much has been collected, how they have been used, the need for prompt payment and the policy on overdue payments.

Payments are monitored by CSBL staff and any parents/caregivers with outstanding dues are followed-up.
